Maninee and Mihir out at 3 November nach baliye Episode

Sad, but one of the couple has to go every week to get the winner out of the lot. This time Maninee and Mihir got out of Nach Baliye. The choreographer had a fierce discussion with Saroj Khan but no gain. I am fan of Archana and Parmeet from the very first episode and today in addition, they performed very well. In fact, they were the best but I do not know why Saroj Khan gave them 9 instead of 10.
Sachin-Supriya today got complete 30 and I am not sure if they deserved it more then Archana-Parmeet. I don’t know if the judges are biased especially Saroj Khan. Archana Parmeet were good in all aspects from facial expressions to dance steps and they are the one who are performing better week after week.

Parvati & Tulsi On KBC 2 this Diwali

This Diwali KBC is coming up with special episode where `Parvati` Sakshi Tanwar will share the hot seat with `Tulsi` Smriti Irani. Parvati with Pallavi appeared in KBC 1 together whereas Tuksi shared the hot seat with Mihir. This time around, both bahus of top 2 soaps of Indian Television will be seen together. Celebrity pairs are in great demand and people like these shows. Sakshi Tanwar and Smriti Irani will surely have a good learning experience while sitting in front of a person with unlimited energy, humility, professionalism and perfectionist.
Sakshi & Smriti are good friends off screen. They will be first to sit on KBC hot seat twice. “It was an awesome experience. I had never thought I’d be on KBC again. It was much more fun. I was far more excited and nervous than the last time. In fact, every emotion was ‘ummeed se dugna’. We played very well and really enjoyed the game and the interaction with Mr Bachchan. Of course, the pressure of performing well was there. But both Smriti and I played with full honesty and to the best of our abilities” stated Parvati in an Interview.
Parvati and Tulsi went upto Rs. 25 lakhs but answered a question wrongly and brought down their prize money to Rs 6.4 lakhs.

Rahul Vaidya’s success story after Indian Idol

Rahul Vaidya who stood 3rd in Sony Entertainment’s hit show Indian Idol is doing quite well recently. He launched his first album “Tera Intezaar” which is quite hit. Jalees Sherwani and Sajid-Wajid who happens to be the music composer for the hit films like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and Tere Naam composed the music for Rahul’s album. 18-year-old Rahul Vaidya proved his talent by giving an album comprising entirely his songs. Tera Intezaar with its deep-rooted songs, great names behind it and Rahul’s voice got to do well.
Rahul also sang for Sanjay Dutt starer Shaadi No.1 whose music is composed by none other then one of the Indian Idol Judge Anu Malik. Shreya Ghoshal is his co-singer and the movie is produced by Vashu Bhagnani with David Dhawan is the director. It will be right to say that he is the best singer among all Indian Idol finalists commercially. He gets the highest rates for the show, has come up with an album, which is completely composed by established music directors, and did playback singing in big banner movie too.

27 October Update for Nach Baliye – Sai and Shakti out

Nach Baliye is getting better by each episode and the performance by couples this time around was excellent. Sad part is that Sai Deodhar and Shakti Anand’s pair is out in todays 27 October episode of Nach Baliye .
The pair had a bad performance in episode 1 where they had to face good thrashing by judges. Saroj Khan was especially not happy with the couple. Couple danced on “Dhak Dhak Karne Laga” tune in 2nd episode. This time all the three judges appreciated their perfomance. This was their comeback and it seemed that they are going to make it for next couple of episodes. In comedy round tonight, couple danced on “Muthu Kodi Kawadi Hada” from movie Do Phool which was originally pasteurized on Mehmood. They had a good time on stage but could not amuse the judges.
Another important incident in today’s show was related to Apurva Agnihotri and Shilpa Saklani. Shilpa broke her 2 front teeth as she falls on her face while performing. Sad! Finally, they managed 9 from all the 3 judges. Delnaz, Mihir Misra and Rajiv also had their bouts of Nach Baliye fever with Delnaz suffering from severe asthma. Nach Baliye is getting hotter by each days and it will be fun to watch the episodes in coming weeks.

October 20th Fame Gurukul update: Few minutes ago Sony entertainment television’s popular realities show Fame Gurukul announced its first winners. The final moments were very pulsating. It is break right now, but they announced that 87,12,510 votes were received by Sony entertainment television. Ok, They announced the Fame Jodi just a minute ago. The winners and Fame Jodi – Qazi and Ruprekha.

14th October updates for Fame Gurukul

Updates for 14th October at Fame Gurukul. The guest judge for today is Uday Chopra more popular for his comedy role at Dhoom. According to Uday, a girl-boy jodi would be perfect. The jodi in a way should complement each other. The voting this time would be for jodi and not for individual singers. In the opening of Fame Gurukul episode, Vasundhra Das sang with the 3 contestants. The number was Salaam Namaste from movie Salaam Namaste.
First Performances:
Qazi & Rooprekha: Qazi sang Chote chote seharo se from movie Bunty aur Babli. The comments of Judges were:
Javed: You sang well and you make a good pair.
Shankar: Wonderful Jodi and both sang very well.
KK: Very good, both of you gave very good performance.
Uday: Chemistry between you was very good. Your innocence was the best part in your singing.
Time for solo performances:
Rex: Rex sang O humdum suniyo re from Sathiya.
Qazi: Qazi performed on a score of Hum Tum, ladki Kyon na Jaane Kyon Ladko Si Nahin Hoti Soch thi hai Zyada Kham Woh Samajh ti hai.
Second performance:
Rooprekha & Rex: The couple sang Chup Chup ke Chup Chup ke chori se chori Chup Chup ke from Bunty aur Bubli. The judges commented:
Javed: I think that this jodi has more physics then chemistry between them.
KK: This jodi has heavy weight in the competition.
Shanhar: 100 marks to this jodi. You were very nice keep it up.
Uday: You were very easy and comfortable on stage. Good chemistry and romance is present in your jodi.
Third performance:
Qazi and Rex: They sang Dilbara O dilbara, apun ki tu, apun tera from movie Dhoom. The judges commented:
Javed: You were like Jai and Veeru. Nice jodi. (Jai and Veeru were 2 cast in Sholay played by Amitabh and Dharmendra, one of the most famous jodi of all times)
KK: You were most entertaining in all the couples performed today.
Shanker: Nice chemistry between you and a good performance.
Uday: I am sure I would get some tips from your songs for the coming Dhoom2.

Kyunki Saas Bhi.. New sets with new storyline

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi new sets is being constructed at Chitrart studio, Powai at a whooping sum of more then 2 crores. It will be the highest investment on sets for any serial with Balaji telefilms. Balaji will be using this set sometime next year for its most popular show Kyunki… The new set will bring fresh story line in the sulking episodes. The set will be ready by November-end or early December. Kyunki will be shot entirely on the new sets once this is ready.
Before the change of sets, Sudha Shivpuri (Ba) will die. There will be an inclusion of new Tulsi in the serial. Smriti Z Iraani, the present Tulsi and the new one will work together and would take the story forward.
The sets are being constructed by Smita & Salim. According to the designers, the new design will include modern and contemporary household type design, and the interiors will be plush and tastefully done.

Nach Baliye update for 13th October

Lets have a quick look at what happened on 13th October at Nach Baliye on Star One. Sachin & Supriya stole heart of everyone including me. The oldest couple in the group got full marks for there performance from all the three judges. Chemistry between them was great which got tears in the eyes of Saroj Khan, one of the judge at Nach Baliye. The couple got 30/30.
Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi danced very well and full point to them. If I had been judge, I would also have given them 30/30. They were so natural especially Parmeet Sethi. The got 8 marks from all 3 judges i.e total 24.
The other couples that did well were Delnaaz Paul and Rajiv Paul who scored 26, Rajeshwari and Varun Badola scored 25 and were awesome. The couple I did not like were Amit Sadh and Neeru, Shakti and Sai and Apu and Shilpa.

13th October Update for Fame Gurukul

Lets have a quick look at what happened on October 13th at Fame Gurukul. Total votes i.e total SMS from the fans of Fame Gurukul equaled a whooping 30,50,000. The contestants in the danger zone included Arpita, Rex and Rooprekha. The contestant who made her place in the heart of public was Rooprekha. Arpita got 2,50,000 votes.
Now Qazi and Rooprekha were to decide the fate of the other 2 contestants. Rooprekha was the first to come on stage and she voted for Arpita. Qazi with all the drama gave his vote to Rex. Therefore, the final decision, Arpita is the one who is going to leave Fame Gurukul this week. The judges’ comments for these happenings:
Ila Arun: I am happy with the decision.
Padma: I am happy for Rex as he is in.
Javed: You are a good singer. Just try to be happy.

Hey Naam Re Sabse Bada Tera Naam( Suhaag ) was sung by all four in the beginning of the episode for Fame Gurukul today on 7th October. The first part was for the slow songs.
First Part:
Ruprekha – She sang Bhaage Re Mann from movie Chameli. Sandesh Sandalya gave Chameli music.
Rex – Rex sang Jab koi baat bigad jaaye, jab koi mushkil pad jaaye from movie Jurm.
Judges comments:
Javed Akhtar: You were very good and aapne feel ke saath gaya
Shankar: It is very hard to decide who was better. Both of you sang well.
Qazi – Qazi sang Jab kisi ki taraf dil jhukne lage, Baat aakar zubaan tak rukne lage from movie Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha.
Arpita – She sang Zara Zara Zara Zara Behekta Hain Mehekta Hain Aaj To Mera from movie Dil Chahta hai.

Fame Gurukul Update: 30th September

Let us have a look at the performance of the contestants today on 30th of September at Fame Gurukul. All the singers were good today but how good is for the people to decide who are going to vote for them. Here is the step-by-step update:
Arpita was the first to sing “Jaan-e-Jaan O Mere Jaan-e-Jaana” from movie Sanam Teri Kasam and originally sung by Asha Bhosle. Music for the movie was from great RD. Burman . The judges comment:
Javed akhtar: You sang very well. In the beginning of your song you were bit slow but aapne pakad achi banaye.
Alisha chinoy: You are pretty. You seem very confident and you have a good pitching in your songs.
Shreya ghoshal: Flawless performance.
Everybody’s favorite Qazi was next to come on stage and he sang “Ek pal ka jeena, phir to hai jaana” from movie “Kaho Na Pyar Hai”. Judges comments:
Alisha chinoy: You are a born star.
Javed akhtar: You have made right selection for the song perfectyly suited for your voice.
Shreya ghoshal: I have once voted for you. Perfect performance.

Nach Baliye : Farhan Akhtar will be one of the judge

Farah Khan one of the judges of famous reality show Indian Idol is his cousin, whereas Javed Akhtar his father is one of the jury in Fame Gurukul. These 2 shows are on Sony entertainment channel. Now this seems all in the family to judge famous shows at Indian Television. New entrant is Farhan Akhtar who is going to one of the judges in the Star One show, Nach Baliye.
Nach Baliye is going to be aired on Star One from October 11. This show will have television couple who will be battling for the crown of best dancing couple. Personal lives of the stars will also be in limelight while they prepare for the show.
Farhan Akhtar himself is a great dancer with Hrithik Roshan claiming that he has learnt the first steps of his dancing from him. “I will be my casual self and do a honest critique of the bonding as well as the spirit of the couples” says Akhtar. It is learnt that beside Akhtar, there will be two additional judges on the show, who are yet to be confirmed.
‘Nach Baliye’ will be hosted by Shabir Ahluwalia and Sangeeta Ghosh, the chase which is extended over ten weeks will make out one duo being voted off each week, with votes coming from television viewers as well as specialist judges. The winning duo will be rewarded with the ‘Nach Baliye Champions’ crown.
