Amey Date the heartthrob of viewers was voted out by viewers – hard to believe. The news triggered passion amongst audiences and viewers alike. Amey somehow managed the situation and embraced the reality. It was even hard for judges to accept the loss of Amey from Indian Idol 2. He was one of the toughest contestants for the title. Sonu Nigam on hearing the news denied his acceptance of the result made by viewers. Anu Malik was also shocked at the result and guessed that Indian audience lacked the expertise to judge the singers and real talent.
Time and again viewers have voted out the better ones at Indian Idol but this vote is a great loss at Indian idol show as they have lost their probable winner. Well,well,well,this is the reality of reality television. Well nobody knows the truth that if Amey was really voted out of the contest or it was yet another advertising gimmick. Give your comments of what you think about the authenticity of this result.

I am in US and have never missed a single episode of Indian Idol since it commenced. I knew from the very begning that Amey is the best singer of the lot. I had told my wife that he will be the next Indian Idol even before he was selected in the Top 28 contestants. Because I always believed that he exuded a very strong inner belief and never, atleast I felt, went overboard with the appreciation and applause received from the judges the public of India. I feel bad that our public (like Sonu Nigam mentioned in one of the gala rounds) has always stuck to people from their origin or caste or religion and have always evaded the sensiblity of beliving and entrusting the true person. I would have loved to see Antara, Amey and Karunya in the top three contestants lists. Amey is a versatile singer, looks good and has his own style, does not imitate any known singer and has an authentic voice, unimaginative classical control and also has improved in performance extensivley. Karunya has a wonderful voice and is the best amongst all for high pitch songs like Sukhvinder Singh’s and Bhangra pop. Antara has a crystal clear voice but does lack a little grip on pronounciations but I do belive in Anu Maliks commendation for Antara’s vocal and feel she fully deserves to be in top 3. Sandeep has the whole Rajasthan voting for him. He has a good voice and is also good at imitating Udit Narayan but comeon now comparing all of his performaces to the other three I mentioned his is not that great. He should not be in top three. Anuj is a definite no no. He is favoured by his region where he hails from to a great extent. Amey is the Idian Idol 2 and is a great loss for the the Indian public. I wish people beleive and vote in true talent and now atleast not have Karunya leave the Indian Idol 2 stage without winning the most coveted prize of Indian Idol.

I think Amer Datey was the strongest contestant but unfortunately he is out now. But for future I want to give my opinion that for last six contestants add 2 more judges and then judges should vote out the contestants. In this way, we will select the right competent and talented contestant.

i was crazy about amey, his looks, his singing, MY GOD! I WANT MY AMEY BACK! u guyz know what, that girl who was supporting anuj in the audiance was probably the one who voted for that ugly anuj sharma over and over again by cheating! anuj won by cheating. Analysis of the three remained:
Anuj Sharma: Never expected to come in fight, but always survived and survived with the margins. A person who came in place of a girl, a decision whichno one knows how taken, it seems that he was out from the final 12 with a very very close margin and thats why judges thought that he should be paid for it. But is it a good decision, should a girl get the chance in place of the girl? The question mark which is and now will remained for ever.
Now, the pro’s and con’s, A person, whose face has what appeal, I really do not know, but according to me, he has not that X-factor that Kazi Taukeer or even Debojeet had. The chemistry between his fiance and himsefl was cool (although just a little lesser than the chemistry between Debojeet and his wife) and definately he many times performed well in comparison with Amay Date. I prefer the name of Amay Date as he was close to Anuj in dress up and style.
Anuj has a voice suiting to a special class of song, just like Karunya has its own for his class. I think Anuj’s voice is more preferable for the folk type of songs in comparison to romantic songs as his voice has his on control and roughness. Unfortunately, he most of the times, never picked up a song suiting his voice, hope that he will do that now.
Currently and from many of the last performances, he was on the target of Judges and public but never been hated like Ravi Tripathi because most of the times he didn’t go below the average.
I consider the performance by him in the last Gala is the best peformance by him. And I am really not enjoying the scenes created by the Judges against him because it makes him fora comeback. Definately, Judges are too harse against him and he is not so bad, in fact, he is average and consistent.
NC Karunya: The most hyped contestent of the show, the very first comment of mine. I will always be credited to raise the question concerning Sonu/ Karunya/ Sandeep. No question at all that this Abhishek Bachchan look-a-like become the hope of many ones because of his singing. Public definately have enjoyed his singing a lot. But the people who know about the voice quality, Sur and technical details of singing, knows the limitations of his voice, even Sonu NIgam, his mentor, has accepted that his voice is limited and he should go for the selected songs, waht exactly Karunay is doing most of the times. High pitch again and again, Sukhwindar’s song for more than 50% times, from remaining two were from Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, if tried something else then failed, not terribly but failed in deed. In fact, according to me, his peformance in Shadi round was not from the soul and if you hear this song as a MP3 then you are not going to like it. The performance was good but do not forget that behind this peformance there is a confidence of being the uncrowned winner as declared by Judges.
My comment about him is that he is a good and well trained singer, but not a gifted voice, means after training some singer could become a Karunya and a gifted voice is something else. I myself never favoured him to hold the crown of Indian Idol but also never said that he does not deserve to advance in next Gala for every time. I say that if you have to make choice between three, he deserve to be get into the Grand Finale as a singer.
But note that he is never a versatile singer and never could be even if he trained hardly. Yes!! He is good but not the best as Sandeep has shown in the last Gala that he could be defeated even in his field and for that superb knock I salute Sandeep Acharya.
Because of Indian Idol 2 being a reality show along with a singing competition, Karunya’s behaviour, his proudiness is a problem, definately a huge problem. What he said about Yashsvi, what he said about Ravi Tripathi, what he said about Amay Date, what he said about Panna Gill, what he said about Monali Thakur and what he said about Sandeep Acharya and Anuj Sharma, definately, many of us and contestents too may thinking that he should pay for that.
One sympathy with him that “he is from Hyderabad, he is not getting much votes from his region”, I think that this moronship should be stopped, look at Hemchnadra of SRGMP, 30 lakhs of votes, I do not think this version of Indian Idol got this much for all in any episode till yet. Many voters from Maharastra are going in favour of South Candidates and now Diya MIrza like Bollywood names are supporting him, in fact, many of the good Bollywood stars are from South and may go in support of him, so he definately has the egde with unexpected support of Judges.
But I doubt that he could make it against Anuj Sharma in the finals as Himachal is giving him unconditional and truely blind support. I am seriously missing Amay Date after his “Aai Jindagi Gale Laga Le” as if he get a knock with Anuj then he was a guarantee to make Maharstra suporters to join and then some kind of fight might be expected. but the reality show is paid in its own way.
I want to end with the statement that I doubt according to the calculations that he could defeat Anuj Sharma in the finals.
Sandeep Acharya: My favourite contestent from the begining, the most sweetest voice for this version of the show. According to me I rated only three deserving candidates for the title, first Monali Thakur, then Sandeep Acharya and then Neha Kakkar. Two are not here and the last and best option is Sandeep Acharya.
Abhijeet Sawant rated Sandeep his favourite, none of the judges, never said that he does not have the sweetest voice, they said it at every place and note it among the last three, the sweet voice tag is only with Sandeep from the begining and now after Amay Date, I should say that no one could even challenge him in voice.
The only loosening side of Sandeep Acharya was his confidence that was shakened by Sonu NIgam from the very very begining. He has a boyish nature, a shy nature, a sweet human bean, a lovable one beside of all the competition. But this boy proved my point, with his song in Sukhwindar voice, this time he was performing like a Shahid, no fear from Sonu Nigam for the first time and he did it, he is the best to hold the crown fropm now.
If you are not making the questions, then he is the best in low pitch sogs with a voice yes!! similar to Udit Ji, but Udit Ji is the best after SOnu Nigam for the coutry right now, and now he proved that he could defeat, if not Sukhwindar, then Karunya for sure. If the controversy for Amay Date is not created at this momment, then sure the comeback of Sandeep Acharya with a Sukhwindar song was the most dramatic turn of the show along with Neha Kakkar bang, everyone including Sonu and Karunya were stunned on this voice, which was clearly visible in Karunya’s performance.
I was really thinking that this bang of Sandeep will make everyone speechless for the next three weeks, but really really disappointed, the rule of reality show came into play and came at the most crucial point for Sandeep Acharya, I am watching that his all efforts may go into vain.
I am really really worried about the best contestent left in the show, voice wise and person wise. I am really worried about the luck of Sandeep Acharya, which is not looking to favour him this time.

The most deserving and appropriate result of the last tuesday might be the vote out of Anuj Sharma, but why that not happened? I am totally against Judges when they gone against him in last Gala, he was good in fact one of his best, but that was not the reason for him to survive. A person wise, I just loved him and felt pity for him when he said sorry in Shadi round.
Note that Anuj is from Himachal and they are unlike the South and North people, they will not accept the defeat and the open criticism by public and the Judges for Anuj Sharma will stimulate them more and more. Last time, he gave the best of him even got no words of praise from Judges, so much votes are added and more will be added in the next Gala.
The whole drama after Amay’s vote out seems to loosening the number of viewers and it directly going to profit Anuj Sharma more and more and loss is for Sandeep Acharya more and more. Karunya is expected to be safe for the enxt time at least.
It is the time for Sandep’s Supporters, if they have made Sandeep in in the Grand Finale, then it will be a happy ending because even if he looses against Anuj Sharma, Sandeep will Amit Sana II and everyone knows that who will be more famous then.
Everyone is just praying for the Grand Finale between Sandeep and Karunya but are you doing something for that? Do you know that it is a kind of least possible event. Anuj will not loose the support by this Amay controversy, but the support will increase as the most powerfull contestent because of being from Mumbai is not in now, so Himachal is lookng for next Debojee and will not let loose it from now.
But Sandeep Sharma is really at the loosening end as this was the time when he got most of his support back at the Monday night and now the comeback is totally shaded by the next tuesday because of the totally unexpected Vote Out of Amay Date.
Now, the argument between Auj Sharma’s parent and judges, is going to e very crucial for him. The argument was really expected, how could you walk out, how could you neglect a tons of votes from which you are earning a lot? That was the format of the show, those were the rules from the begining. If it was the way to handle the public then it was ridiculas.
A question is in air, is the whole drama will create the same comeback of viewers, voters and the publicity as had been happened in case of SRGMP? Is it not really interesting that SRGMP got it in final 4 and Indian Idol II.
No, not at all, I am not looking for a created reality show drama, but a hardening coincidence.
The script is placing Anuj Sharma at the place of Debojeet. Karunya at the place of Hem Chandra and Sandeep Acharya at the place of Vineet. Many arguments on the above comparisons, leave them alone.
Now, many new viewers has joined the show and many old ones have left. Next Monday is very crucial. No one will accept defeat. New viewers will vote for the contestent who ever will be the best at that day with huge margin as they will be unaware of the images of the contestents. If Sandeep got a close competition in next Gala, then it will make Sandeep out, so Sandeep needs to perform without fear as he did last time, he have to defeat the other competitors with a huge margin by his stunning performances.
Now, to Sandeep supporters, I do not know that my voice affect you all or not, I do not know how many voters really read this message board, but I have no other medium to call for the support. As a person I am using all my social contacts, I am doing what I could do, by my messages, emails to the friends, phone calls and ofcourse a lot of SMSs. I am about to spend whole of my salary this month and I serously do not know that how I am going to make the votes for the Grand Finale, for my Sandeep if he survived as I am going to enforce all my power in next Gala.

A lot of questions about the format of the Indian Idol:
1) Should the Judges be given more rights? No.
Don’t you think they have much rights already, from thousands of contestents, they have selected 53 by which process, we do not know. I do not think that many of the contestents were satisfied. You relally haven’t seen many singer who were really good singers, but did not got the chance to be in.
Nothing unjustice is being done with anyone, the contestents are already much famous. I strongly support the format either Sandeep survived or not but the format is right and no more power the Judges should got.
2) Should a single person could vote more than once? Yes should be continued.
Who is asking that question? Do you know, this will ultimately harm everyone, infact it will make the number of votes to be dropped up to 0.01% means they will e counted in thousands. If you are gettting entertrained by them then let them earn by your votes.
3) Should the Judges be changed? No.
No, I do not think so. I have already commented on the format to have one singer, one music director and one coreographer in the pannel. No question at all on the format, even by me.
4) Should the program need to say something about the contestents like the region they belong, like what the background they have? Yes! it should be continued.
More or less, I am satisfied. If you do not provide the same, even then the people will try to find that and will succeed. So, why to hide that. If someone have appeal, then he/ she will get votes from all over India, just in same way as Kazi aukeer does. If regionalism take over the talent, then this means that the talent is weak, the X-Factor is weak, the performances are not stunning, the contestents are not rocking the youth, the viewer from all over India. Do not worry, when the talent will be on the top, it will take over the regionalism.
Only queston with the format is not showing the number of votes for everyone. I understand that Sony is hiding them because they are getting only a few percent of votes in comparison to SRGMP, but hiding that will raise the questions again and again as happened in case of Amay Date. Showing the number of votes will raise the total number of votes in every episode and it will be profitable for Sony itself.

AMAY’s VOTE OUT.
No, I really do have much to comment on it. Yes! I was not expecting this to be happen at that day. This does have some means to his singing, this doesn’t some connection to hs performance. was expecting Karunya/ Sandeep to be there.
It was all about calculations, after Abhijee Sawant, whole Bombay was looking at Amay date, neverhave been rated above Meenal Jain, never have been rated Panna Gill by Judges. The positive things about Amay were his presentation, presentation of songs and presentation of himself, his voice waS not limited as Karunya’s is.
Hold it, hold your fires, I really do not want to mess up with Amay’s supporters, but you all really know that even you were not supporting him from the begining. No question at all on that whatever have been happened was right or not.
Many things has been wrong here and in other shows.
Do you think that Sagar Sawarkar was given the proper chance?
Do yuo think that Ravi Tripathi should stay in the show after making the worst ever in the show?
Do you think that Panna should leave the show at that moment?
Was the decision to pick up a boy in place of a girl was right at all?
Why Judges specially Sonu NIgam was too harse over the sweet voice and the most happening and charming personality MOnali Thakur?
Were all of you were expecting Meenal Jain’s Vote Out at that day?
Why Sonu started and then used to comment on Sandeep, the most sweetest voice of Indian Idol?
How could a Judge like Diya Mirza could say that she will stop watching the show, if Karunya came out?
A lot of question marks…
But we all have accepted those decisions. No one including Karunya was well in Shadi Round, but so much praise?? Really ridiculas, even Sifymax made the title of the recap with a contestent’s name.
When we all have accepted the last decisions, we all know about the format, we all know that four are remaining and one has to go each week. How the Judges could dare to walk out from show? Why because Amay Date was the last contestent from Mumbai? Why because you were not thinking that he may go?

I was watching Indian Idol From the starting without missing any of the episode. I felt very bad when Mr.Amey Date was moved out from the contest.He was very consistent and strong singer.He maintained same track record through out the show. Now I feel it is really meaningless to watch Indian Idol as the show is giving importance to luck rather than talent in the name of audience votes whish is baseless.According to me Indian Idol top three must be Talented Singers like Amey Date,Karunya and Anthara but not lucky singers like Sandeep and Anuj sharma.
The Show organisers should consider talent but not luck.

It is very bad that Mr.Amey Date was out of the Indain Idol Show.He was favourite singer for both judges and audience. The decision to out him was not good. I think judges decision should be final as they have enough experience in music field. Value should be given to Judges decision but not audience votes which is meaningless. (as they dont have enough music knowlege like judges)

One afternoon, I was in the backyard hanging the laundry when an old, tired-looking dog wandered into the yard. I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home.
