Blue Terra Spa in Gurgaon – Luxurious and Ayurvedic Care
Posted by Administrator on July 27, 2010 - (10)
I am not a spa person. I had never been to a spa till few days ago. I always thought spa was a ‘girlie’ thing meant for those who have lots of money and time on hand! A friend gifted me a spa voucher, and insisted that I go with an open mind. She even booked the appointment for me at a spa in Gurgaon.
I arrived at Blue Terra Spa, supposedly one of the happening spas in Gurgaon, to be greeted by lemon-mint flavoured cool water. The front desk person helped me choose my therapy, and on his recommendation I decided to go for Ayurvedic stress buster package – an Ayurvedic body massage followed by shirodhara – where warm oil is poured on your forehead (or third eye as they call it!).
I was led into the therapy room aptly named as Moksha. First the therapist dipped my feet in warm water, cleaned them, and wiped them, in slow rhythmic movements. Then I was asked to lie down on massage bed for the massage. It was such a heavenly feeling. As if the therapist was taking away pain from the body at every stroke.
While I almost dozed off, my eyes were covered with moist cotton and I could feel warm oil being poured on my forehead further inducing relaxation as well as sleep. When it ended after 1.5 hours, I did not want it to end. Grudgingly I took steam and shower in a hi-tech cubicle within the room itself.
It was truly an amazing experience that refreshed me and I felt rejuvenated for days after that.
If you are looking for a spa in Gurgaon do check out Blue Terra Spa. It definitely is one of the best spas in Gurgaon, probably NCR!

Rajesh Khanna in Bigg Boss 3
Posted by Administrator on October 27, 2009 - (3)

The veteran actor is going to enter Bigg Boss 3 as a wild card entry.
Rajesh Khanna recently won Lifetime Achievement Award at IIFA 2009 held at Bangkok. He will soon be entering the house of Bigg Boss 3. He will be entering the house as wild card entry in next 2-3 weeks. Colors approached him before the launch of the show but he denied being part of it as he wanted to drink inside the house.
Now, he has changed his mind. He is ready to be part of the show and give up drinking for the period. He will be paid the highest amount as the participation fees among all contestants.
After the exit of KRK, Rajesh Khanna’s entry would again boost the sinking TRP rating for the show. It will be quiet interesting how Original Super Star will interact with the current Super Star.

Do Reality T.V Show Give Cruel Entertainment?
Posted by Administrator on February 20, 2009 - (7)
Entertainment is what TV is all about. The producers of television programs like to entertain their audience to the best extent possible, even if it means indulging in cruel entertainment. This is exactly what TV reality shows are doing. Many of the contestants participating in it are fed up with the programs as they have to grow through grueling ordeal. Let us understand these phenomena better?
Viewers like to see the contestants in reality shows go through oppressive conditions and situations. Programmers are keen to satisfy such demands of the public, even if it means the contestants are at great risk.
The celebrities go through this ordeal to “prove their humanity” to the public according to The Times Columnist Caitlin Moran.
How Do T.V Reality Show Give Cruel Entertainment?
- Television producers ask celebrities to indulge in activities or be in situations that give cheap thrills. For example, Natalie Appleton quit the program “I,m a Celebrity – Get me Out of Here(UK) after she had to plunge into the glass tanks that contained live animals and putrid waste.
- Brian Harvey ex-E17 singer sunk his teeth into pies that were filled with insects.
- Danniella Westbrook, actress, in the reality show I’m a Celebrity (UK) claimed that her participation in the show in 2003 was affecting her recovery from drug addiction.
- Emma Greenwood contestant on reality show Big Brother (UK) was asked to spy on her fellow contestants from a hidden bedsit.
- Contestants also dress up to the extent of being naked. Reality shows have been conducted concerning naked beauty pageant.
- These programs prey on those who suffer from mental health problems and depression.
- Some times a contestant is asked to drop his pants in public by a security guard at a reputed television house.
- Contestants are subjected to humiliation.
- Bullying of the contestants is something enjoyed by viewers.
- Contestants who do not perform well in auditions are humiliated in front of the viewers. It is psychological trauma for the participant to undergo such open criticism.
From these above observations, it is quite evident that reality shows are entertainment in cruel form. Many viewers are beginning to dislike such programs, although they do attract a large audience.

It was confirmed earlier that Sonu Nigam will not be seen as celebrity judge of Indian Idol 3. Now another judge Farah Khan will also not be seen in the third season of Indian Idol episodes. Reason, she is too busy with her next movie Om Shanti Om. Now only one judge i.e. Anu Malik, will be available for the show at Indian idol 3. People will miss both Sonu Nigam & Farah Khan in the seductive and addictive singing talent hunt based reality game show.

Woh Rehne Waali Mehlo Ki – Latest Update
Posted by Administrator on February 9, 2007 - (158)

Sahara One TV Channel is at its best these days with promising soaps and fantastic movies. The USP of Sahara one is the simplicity of its soaps. “Woh Rehne Waali Mehlo Ki” in particular is right now THE BEST serial on Indian Television Channels. With the current battle of soaps in retaining viewer ship, “Woh Rehne Waali Mehlo Ki” is the one which has proved its mantle since it was launched.
The best part of “Woh Rehne Waali Mehlo Ki” is its simplicity and freshness with nearly all new faces. A theme away from saas bahu sagas, watching it is a breeze. The serial gives a new meaning to life and digs deep into believing in destiny and divine intervention. Rajshri productions core inspiration is always Indian ness and belief on principles of the holy Ramayana. They have taken their success baton even further by proving that they are masters of family drama on big as well as small screen.
Today episode had a touch of Rajshri’s old magic with “Nadiya Ke Paar” song while Pari and Saumya were driving on bullock cart for Mela due to breakdown of their car. Still after so many years the song has the same magic. Today Saumya who doesn’t believe in god, tied string and red cloth on the tree near the temple while praying for long life of Pari.
Next episode Saumya will disclose his love for Pari to Sanju while talking with her on phone. So, watch out guys for more emotions and wholesome entertainment tomorrow in none other then “Woh Rehne Waali Mehlo Ki”.

Tanaaz Bakhtyaar out of Nach Baliye
Posted by Administrator on December 11, 2006 - (3)
Hussain-Tina and Yash-Gauri are the finalist of Nach Baliye 2 and I think the best couples are in the final without any doubt in the eyes of judges and viewers alike. In the semi finals of Nach Baliye 2 the initial judges favorite Bakhtyaar Irani and Tanaaz Lal were voted out by the viewers.
Tanaaz and Bakhtyaar danced on “O Hasina Zulfon Waali” from the movie Teesri Manzil and Yaadein Title track. Judges were not impressed by their performance for the first song in general and Bakhtyar performance was below par in it as Kunal pointed out. However judges were quite impressed by their second performance.
The couple were more famous for their acrobatic, gymnastic or to say robotic type of dances. Overconfidence or arrogance were the 2 the key factors their demise. Bakhtyaar was quite surprised with the results and Tanaz broke down after the results were announced. They danced on “O Hasina Zulfon Waali” from the movie Teesri Manzil
Yash and Gauri were appreciated for their consistent hard work and I think they deserved the finals. Hussain and Tina would be favorites for the finals and I would rate their winning chances as 8/10.
Manish Goyal and his wife Poonam Narula(looking very fat, not sure if she is acting any more in any serials) were anchors for the semifinals.
